Is it live or is it Elmo Live? For the first time ever, in this truly life-like creation, Elmo really appears to be speaking as his mouth opens and closes just like a muppet. His mannerisms are right on target and his head bobbles back and forth as he speaks. Elmo waves his arms, sits and stands, and even crosses his legs while telling stories and jokes, singing songs and playing games. Children can activate the magic with a tickle or a squeeze of Elmo's foot, tummy, back or nose. Requires 6 "AA" batteries, included. Measures 12" tall.
Purchase limit of two (2) per household.
This is a great toy not only because of looks, on the game webkinz world some games are educatiaonl, and all games are FUN!!!!
This is one of the few games I like to play with my sons that do not involve complicated written rules. The only glitch we encountered was that we already lost one game piece and could not get a replacement. Not a big deal after I just made a paper piece to replace the plastic one.
My daughter loves this thing!! A friend of mine had one for her daughter and she said it was a "must have". I ordered one right away for my then 5 month old. She didn't know what to think at first, but caught on really quickly. We were amazed that she could turn the seat on her own to play with the different items. Now when I put her in it, she squeals with delight every now and then...I guess to let us know she's loving it! The nice thing is that you can change the height of the seat, which we've done once now that she's almost 7 months old. It is a great little thing when they need to play on their own for a few minutes.
I gave this to my son for his 7th birthday. I'd previously given him a couple of harder kits, and while he tried very hard to put those together by himself, he eventually became frustrated and needed help. He put this kit together completely by himself in less than an hour, and you could literally see the pride in his face. He immediately started begging for the matching Star Wars droid kit. Over a week later, he's still playing with and rebuilding this set nearly every day.
Gave this to our grand-daughter for her first birthday and she loves it. Has no trouble pushing the plunger to start it. She sometimes chases the balls, or will sit and watch the movement or will put the balls back in. She seems to enjoy the music. I have to admit, I find it really fun, too!
bananagrams is kind of a cross between scrabble and a cross word puzzle - each player makes his own board of words simultaneously - so no waiting between turns as in scrabble which eliminates tedium. Its also a quick game - we can play about 20 times in a row with no problem - good for groups - perfect for the weekend cabin activity.
My 8 year old son and 10 year old daughter are hooked on these toys! We got some on vacation and they played with them constantly! My daughter has not been on Webkinz in a week! Neat collectable toys and they enjoy making up their own games and races with them. Too hard for them to play the gamecard/games designed for the toy though. Toy durable in spite of being thrown on hard surfaces from time to time. Very hard to find in stores in Chicago area though!
We mailed in the coupon to receive the caterpillars in mid July, and all 10 survived the hot summer mailbox. Within a week they turned into chrysalids, and after about another week the butterflies just popped out! We got one of them coming out on video camera - they come out quick! One of them couldn't come out quite right, but even the 3 on the floor on a paper towel came out just fine.
They weren't too crazy about sugar water, so I did some research and thought maybe the concentration wasn't high enough. So I used a tablespoon of sugar to 1/2 cup of water, and I see them drink from that a bit more. I also cut up oranges, apples, nectarines, and bananas.
I put the pavillion indoors in a sunny location as they fly better when it's above 85 degrees. We even put a light reflecter nearby with an incadescent bulb to keep them warm. It's cool to see them baske.
I still felt like they weren't eating very much, so I went to a local greenhouse and got a smallest annual plant they had that butterflies love (lantana), and within minutes of putting it inside, the butterflies were all over it. And they started laying eggs!! And they're only 5 days old!! Thankfully I've researched what painted lady caterpillars eat (different species eat different leaves) and been collecting plants outdoors. I just hope if the eggs hatch they won't come out of the mesh holes.
